SURESubtraction™

SURESubtraction™ has the ability to remove bone and calcium from data sets while allowing clinicians to view tumors or arteries at risk. Currently available for brain, carotid, ortho and lung exams.

Using Toshiba's fully automated non-rigid registration algorithm, bone, calcium and stent subtraction can be accomplished using a low dose unenhanced scan prior to contrast delivery. Superior visualization of the vertebral arteries and internal carotids can be seen, saving time and improving diagnostic accuracy.

Single Energy Metal Artifact Reduction

SEMAR

Toshiba’s SEMAR (Single Energy Metal Artifact Reduction) utilizes a sophisticated iterative reconstruction technique to reduce metallic artifact, improving visualization of implants, supporting bone and the adjacent soft tissues for a clearer and more confident diagnosis. SEMAR can be set in the scan protocol so the reconstructions are fully automatic requiring no additional operator input.

SURECardio Prospective with arrhythmia detection

With Aquilion PRIME's SURECardio Prospective Adaptive diagnostic scan mode, the system will begin the acquisition prospectively, and if an arrhythmia is detected, it will automatically switch to a continuous mode in order to ensure a diagnostic exam. A unique application that dramatically lowers patient dose during coronary CTA exams using a helical acquisition technique to provide one continuous image instead of multiple images.

Coronary CTA, Three Vessel Disease

Male patient with strong family history of coronary artery disease. Coronary CTA was performed and images reconstructed with AIDR+ (Adaptive Iterative Dose Reduction). 3D Volume Rendered and curved Multiplanar Reconstruction (MPR) images demonstrate calcification in the left main coronary artery and right coronary artery (RCA). Calcified and non-calcified plaques are seen in the mid left anterior descending (LAD) and non-calcified plaque in the circumflex artery (CX).
