TOSHIBA AMERICA MEDICAL SYSTEMS NAMES TED NEMETZ VICE PRESIDENT, TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

TUSTIN, Calif., Nov. 27, 2005 - Further supporting the company’s
continued growth, Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. (TAMS) today announced the
appointment of Ted Nemetz as vice president of the company’s Technology Services
Business Unit. In this role, Nemetz will lead Toshiba’s extensive service
organization, including field operations, service marketing, logistics, technical
support and the business unit’s financial operations.
“Ted Nemetz brings valuable industry experience to this position, with a focus on
customer engagement and satisfaction that will be critical to the financial growth
and success of our service business,” said Edwin Lodgek, general manager and senior
vice president, TAMS. “His knowledge and understanding of both technical service
and general business functions are a tremendous asset to our company, and I am confident
that he will provide the leadership required to ensure Toshiba continues to provide
the best possible service and support to its customers.”
Prior to joining Toshiba, Nemetz held general management responsibilities at Universal
Medical Systems in Ohio. He also served as vice president of Global Customer
Service and Support operations for Philips Medical Systems, where he was responsible
for a $1.6 billion business and more than 3,800 employees. Prior to Philips,
Nemetz served as vice president and general manager of Global Service at Picker/Marconi
Medical Systems.
